How to use an Afghan box camera "kamra-e-faoree" from Afghan Box Camera on Vimeo.

Watch street-photographer Qalam Nabi work his magic with a kamra-e-faoree on the streets of Kabul. It’s really quite amazing.

This is a part of the Afghan Box Camera Project. Make sure to check it out and help support this great project on Kickstarter too!

my fridge holds more film than food inside

Today I was able to acquire 10 rolls of factory sealed barely expired Fuji Provia 400x slide film and another 16 rolls of Fuji Sensia 400 from an elderly gentleman in Marin today and he only wanted $80 for all 26 rolls. EIGHTY DOLLARS. The Provia alone goes for $11-$15 a roll here in The City and I can’t seem to find Sensia in 400 speed anywhere anymore. Now that, my friends, is a pretty good deal, wouldn’t you say?

And yes we have a lot of hot sauce. Why you might ask? I’m a horrible cook.

My nieces very first Christmas. She had just learned to crawl a few days before I arrived and it was difficult to keep up with her after. I shot these photos with my vintage Yashica D twin lens reflex camera. I can’t get over just how adorable she is and how much fun I have with her. <3

My boyfriend’s wonderful photo from Sutro Heights. I’m still finding myself in awe of the fact that he has quite an eye for photography and has learned much of it so damn quickly. Today’s photo picnic was perfect as we were quite hungover.
